Ever tried making a super moist chocolate cake which melts in your mouth? Here we are going to let you know the best moist chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. A very rich chocolate taste with tender-moist crumbs will make a fine evening with a cup of tea.  An easy recipe with few ingredients will make a fluffy moist chocolate cake. Most recipes end up with dry chocolate cake. Let’s see how to get the moisture in a chocolate cake with delicacy.


Butter 200g
Granulated Sugar 200g
Eggs 200g
Vanilla 1 tsp
All-purpose flour 150g
Cocoa powder 25g
Corn flour 2 tbsp
Pinch of Baking Soda
Baking Powder 1 tsp
Milk 2 ½ tbsp.

To make the Chocolate Cake

Preheat the oven to 175C for 10 minutes.

Let’s make the cake tray. Cover the tray with oil paper or using a parchment paper.
First, sieve the flour with cocoa powder, cornflour, baking powder and baking soda thoroughly. Then in a large mixing bowl add butter and sugar. Beat until it becomes a cream. Gradually add eggs while beating. After adding eggs, add vanilla and beat a little. Keep aside the beater and add flour, cocoa powder, cornflour, baking powder and baking soda into the cake mixture. Using a spatula fold the flour mixture with cake batter. While folding the batter, the air bubbles in the cake batter need to be removed. At last, pour the cake batter into the cake tray and tap on a table to pop the air bubbles in the batter.

Keep the cake tray in the preheated oven for 40 minutes in 175C.

To make the Milkier Cake Frosting


Butter 125g
Icing sugar 250g
Milk 3 ½ tbsp.
Cocoa powder 25g

This frosting is milkier and melting. Begin with beating the butter. Butter should be in room temperature. Then add icing sugar gradually. Add one large spoon of icing sugar and a little bit of milk while beating. Continue this for 3-4 times till all grams of icing sugar in the mixing bowl. Then add half of the cocoa powder into the mixing bowl and beat. Then add a little bit of milk to the bowl and mix. Put the other half of cocoa powder to the mixing bowl with a little bit of milk. Beat for a minute. Milky chocolate frosting is ready to go with the chocolate cake.
Take the baked cake out of the oven and let it leave to cool. After about one hour, slice the cake to sandwich with milky chocolate frosting. Apply the frosting using a flat spatula all over the cake.

Finally, decorate the cake by sprinkling chopped cashews on top of the cake.

Extra tips:

  • Using the sugar syrup on the sliced cake sides will keep moist for much longer.
  • In the frosting, using a few drops of whisky is also possible.

Now the fine chocolate cake is ready to indulge.
