With the coronavirus outbreak, almost all countries have been taken action to stop the virus spread. While the authorities work hard on that, Is there anything that we can do in person? Yes, there are many things that we can do to slow down the virus spreading and to protect ourselves and our families. Most importantly you can boost your immune system. Doing so will reduce your vulnerability to multiple diseases including coronavirus. Even though you got infected, improving your immune system ability will help you to get faster and full recovery.

We all know that one person who never gets sick. The one at the office who somehow skips out on the flu that’s traveling from cubicle to cubicle. Or the one that doesn’t come down with a cold even when their entire family falls victim. How do they do it? Are they superhuman? Not quite! Everyone’s immune system is different. While some people are born with an illness-fighting ninja of an immune system, most people get sick at least once a year.

Mostly in Asian countries, herbs such as Turmeric, Oregano, Coriander, and Ginger have been used for a very long time for their medicinal properties. These natural herbs considered to have a huge effect on boosting your immune system and fighting against viruses.

Mushrooms and Onion

Foods such as mushrooms, Garlic and Red onion (Allium cepa L.) also known to have a positive impact on a person’s wellbeing. Mushrooms have anti-inflammatory properties and can boost your immunity over significant periods of time. Consuming garlic could also do your health a whole lot of good as it is been hailed for centuries for its remedial properties.


If you want another great way to boost your immune system, all you have to do is get moving. Your immune system is highly sensitive to your actions. Exercising produces more of the blood cells that can fight bacterial invaders. When you do exercise more regularly, it will increase the benefits as well. Research shows that people who exercise moderately five or six days a week have half as many colds and sore throats as people who don’t exercise.

Reduce Stress

Reducing stress also supports your immune system functions and maintain it’s fighting capabilities. One study reported that anticipating a happy or funny event increased levels of endorphins and other hormones that induce a state of relaxation. Chronic stress can suppress the response of the immune system and its ability to fight disease. Relaxing your mind may help to prevent infections and other disorders.


Sleep can help you to boost your immune system in many ways. Sleep helps you to relax your mind and body at the same time. Researchers said that when you are sick, sleep might help to distribute certain immune cells to the lymph nodes, and your immune system releases proteins called cytokines that can fight with viruses and protect you from infecting.

Love the Sun

If nothing above will work on your case, then go outside more often.

Getting outside in the sunlight may benefit the immune system. Researchers discovered that sunlight energizes infection-fighting T-cells. That plays a key part in immunity.
